Scott Thompson was Adelaide’s only Fantasy centurion in the final bye round of 2015.
In his 300th AFL sanctioned match, Thompson top-scored for the Crows with 113 points from a team-high 28 possessions, six tackles and a goal.
He’s been a picture of consistency this year. After sitting out the opening two rounds with a hamstring issue, the tough midfielder has notched seven triple-figure totals including three Fantasy tons in his past four games.
Despite Thompson’s form, he remains surprisingly underrated among coaches this season, with his ownership barely above two per cent. The veteran Crow could be a reliable point of difference for any team in the second half of the year.
Ruckman Sam Jacobs continued his fine Fantasy form with another 96 points against the Lions.
Jacobs lost the head-to-head battle with fellow Fantasy favourite Stefan Martin, who was the game’s top-scorer with 136 points, but he remains well entrenched among the top three ruckmen in the competition.
He’s scored 88 points or above in all but two games this year and continues to reward the 24,000 coaches who have ‘Sauce’ in their side.
Although he missed several opportunities in front of goal, Taylor Walker’s 88-point performance showed plenty of promise heading into the second half of the year.
The captain finished with 2.5 from 14 disposals and eight marks and would’ve comfortably eclipsed the 100-point barrier on a normal night.
Tex’s break even should drop significantly after Round 14 and he will be ripe for the picking, so keep a close eye on his output against the Cats.
Rising Star nominee Charlie Cameron is the standout bargain buy on Adelaide’s roster heading into this weekend.
‘Jets’ scored 74 points – his third-best total of the season – and has a generous break even of just 39 points for the upcoming round.
A livewire forward priced at just $272,000, Cameron could be a solid choice for coaches requiring a quick cash injection after the bye rounds.
