Two Crows stars have been named in the AFLW Players’ Association’s final AFLW 22Under22 team.
On Tuesday, the AFL Players Association announced the 22-player team which includes Eloise Jones and Danielle Ponter.
Jones, who the Crows selected with Pick No.24 at the 2017 AFLW Draft, cemented her spot in Adelaide’s best side this season despite a tough pre-season due to a shoulder injury.
The 22-year-old winger only missed one minor round match this past season, averaging 14.8 disposals, 5.8 contested possessions, 3.3 marks and 2.6 tackles.
Jones, who was named in the team for the first time in her AFLW career, also recorded a career-high 20 disposals in the Round Three victory against West Coast.
Ponter has quickly become one of the competition’s brightest young stars, having been selected in the team for a third time, with her ability to turn a game on its head once again being recognised.
The classy forward finished the 2022 minor rounds with an average of 9.6 disposals, 2.8 marks and five goals - including two during the Indigenous Round match against Fremantle in Perth.
Ponter’s selection is another accolade to add to her impressive resume, after winning the League’s Mark of the Year in 2021.
