Young Crows midfielder Mitch Grigg has finished third in the SANFL’s Magarey Medal count.
Grigg, who made his AFL debut late in the season and played five games for the Crows, polled 18 votes to finish behind winner Matt Thomas (Norwood, 26 votes) and Sam Gray (Port, 1 votes).
Another young Crow, Jarryd Lyons, was Glenelg’s top votegetter with nine. Matthew Jaensch was the next best Crows-listed player, with eight votes for Sturt, while Lewis Johnston (North) received seven votes.
Grigg led the count after 16 rounds but had polled all his votes as he missed Norwood’s last seven matches after making his AFL debut in late July.
