Gold Coast youngster Jack Martin could miss Saturday’s clash with Adelaide due to an ongoing ankle concern.
Martin was subbed out of the Suns’ Round Four clash with Greater Western Sydney with soreness in his lower leg, but took his place in the club’s big Q-Clash victory over the Lions last Saturday night.
But doubt still surrounds Martin’s fitness for this weekend’s matchup against the Crows at Metricon Stadium.
Fellow young Sun Jarrod Garlett has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a leg injury.
Garlett was subbed out in the opening quarter of the Suns’ win over Brisbane. The 18-year-old, who has played every game this season, was Gold Coast’s second selection in last year’s National Draft.
Gold Coast has suffered several long-term injuries to a host of other key players so far this season.
Midfielders Gary Ablett (shoulder), Jaeger O’Meara (knee) and David Swallow (knee) all face lengthy stints on the sidelines.
Key-position player Sam Day (dislocated elbow) and defenders Nick Malceski (knee soreness) and Seb Tape (knee) have also been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with the Crows.
