Two livewire draftees, one Club debutant and three highly-anticipated returning players will line up in the Crows’ season opener.

Adelaide released its final 22-man team for the Round One clash against Fremantle on Friday evening.

2021 draftees Josh Rachele and Jake Soligo will don a Crows guernsey for the first time alongside Sydney recruit Jordan Dawson.

Matt Crouch, Mitch Hinge and Wayne Milera, who have all been on the sidelines long-term due to injury, also return.

Senior Coach Matthew Nicks implored Crows fans to get along to the game and see the reinvigorated Adelaide side in action.

“We’re a young group, we’re enthusiastic and I know we’ll bring that,” Nicks told the media on Friday.

“As a coaching group we look at our guys coming in and we’re confident they’ll come and perform.

“It will be a beautiful day at Adelaide Oval, it’s just outstanding the deck. Our Members and supporters should get along - footy’s back, it’s 100 per cent capacity and our guys are ready to go.”

Nicks said the absence of senior players Rory Laird, Paul Seedsman and Taylor Walker would provide the chance for Adelaide’s youngsters to step up to the plate.

“The team we’re putting out on the weekend… we’re confident they’re going to perform because of the work they’ve done,” Nicks said.

“We will miss (Laird, Seedsman and Walker) no doubt, but it’s an opportunity for others to stand out.”

The Crows take on Fremantle on Sunday, March 20, at 3.40pm, with tickets on sale now via Ticketek
