Seven Crows caught the eyes of the coaches’ following the side’s 18-point victory against Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

Skipper Jordan Dawson led the way, polling a game-high eight votes for his work through the midfield.

Matched up against one of the competition’s premier on-ball units, Dawson helped the Crows gain critical ascendancy in the middle of the ground, as he recorded 27 disposals, eight tackles and five clearances.

The Crows Captain now sits equal second in the standings with 28 votes, one behind Collingwood’s Nick Daicos.

Third year defender Max Michalanney recorded five votes, following a stand-out performance both offensively and defensively.

Tasked with quelling the influence of Giants Captain Toby Greene, Michalanney kept the spearhead goalless, while also collecting 14 disposals and kicking the first major of his AFL career.

Hard-working forward Alex Neal-Bullen and star midfielder Izak Rankine were awarded four votes apiece for their influence on the match.

Neal-Bullen was a constant presence in Adelaide’s front half, recording 20 disposals, 24 pressure acts and kicking a crucial goal.

Rankine had premier Giants tagger Toby Bedford for company for much of the match, and worked through the tag strongly to finish with 20 disposals, eight clearances, six tackles, five score involvements and a major.

Experienced defender Rory Laird polled two votes for an efficient performance off half back.

Collecting the ball on 21 occasions, Laird went at an impressive 81 per cent disposal efficiency, which set up much of the Crows ball movement.

Ben Keays and Mitch Hinge rounded out the vote-getters, as they each received one for their work in attack and defence, respectively.
