Adelaide captain Taylor Walker has been cleared of misconduct against West Coast's Luke Shuey by the AFL Tribunal.
The Tribunal jury took only a minute to deliberate before handing down the not guilty verdict on Tuesday evening.
Adelaide’s representative, Andrew Culshaw, successfully proved Walker’s actions weren’t unacceptable in the circumstances.
Following the hearing, Walker told reporters he didn't believe the incident was misconduct.
"When I first was told about it, I thought it was a bit of a joke," he said.
"Andrew put a great case forward. I was on the basis it was a bad look for our game if I was to be found guilty.
"We put a great case forward and found not guilty, which was great."
Walker was offered a $1500 fine with an early guilty plea on Monday by the AFL’s Match Review Officer, but the Crows chose to contest the charge, believing the action did not warrant a misconduct charge.
