The Giants only win came in Round 8, 2015, when they triumphed by 24 points. The Crows have won the past three contests between the sides and have never lost at home to the AFL’s newest franchise.
The most recent meeting came in a Qualifying Final last season, a game which saw the Crows win through to a Preliminary Final after a 36-point win. Eddie Betts kicked three majors while Matt Crouch racked up 31 disposals and seven clearances.
The crowd of 52,805 that night is the largest attendance for a game between Adelaide and GWS.
Crows forward Tom Lynch holds the record for the most goals in this fixture, finishing with 10 in Round Seven, 2013. Defender Rory Laird has the highest disposal count in the clash, recording 40 touches in Round One, 2017.
GWS have lost their last four games by an average of 41 points. The losses have come against Essendon, North Melbourne, West Coast and Geelong. The Giants have not lost five games in a row since Rounds 15 – 19 of the 2014 season.
GWS (659) are one ahead of Adelaide (658) in the tackle count so far this season. Tim Taranto is the Giants most prolific tackler, amassing 64 to this stage of the year. Hugh Greenwood holds the mantle for the Crows with 75.

Paul Seedsman is still the leading metres gained player in 2018 (5591m), and the Giants’ Heath Shaw has climbed to second spot (5239m) on the back of a big game against Essendon in Round 10 where he gained 986m.
