The Adelaide Football Club has met with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to discuss the interface between the South Road project, Thebarton Oval and Kings Reserve.
In a meeting this week with the senior architect and executive lead on the project, discussions included access to and from South Road, traffic management and construction timelines.
“It was a constructive two-way conversation on how we can integrate the Thebarton Oval with the South Road redevelopment,” Crows CEO Tim Silvers said.
“We wanted to obtain more information to better understand how our master plan fits with what they are developing as well, because direct access to and from the precinct from South Road is a key part of our traffic management plan for the site.
“We also had the opportunity to discuss some of the issues that have been raised by residents during our community consultation, including the impact on local streets and parking, and those talks will be ongoing.”
