Adelaide has launched a new website to provide Members, supporters and the community with a one-stop shop for the latest information on its proposed redevelopment of Thebarton Oval.
The purpose-built site, www.crowsfacility.com.au, enables people to communicate with the Club by providing feedback and asking questions about the project which will deliver the Club a new world-class headquarters.
The website went live in January, 2023, and forms part of the Club’s Thebarton Oval Community Engagement Plan which was tabled by Crows CEO Tim Silvers at a City of West Torrens Council meeting in November, 2022.
It is an important part of the Club’s commitment to engage with the community and all relevant stakeholders in formulating a draft masterplan for the precinct.
Crows Chairman John Olsen said the website would help the Club gain a detailed understanding of local sentiment about the project and keep the community informed in order to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties.
“As we have said all along this is an intergenerational project and we must get it right,” Olsen said.
“We are committed to being a good neighbour and listening to the community and all stakeholders throughout the process, and this website is an effective tool in helping us deliver on that promise.
“We also want to counter the misinformation that’s in the marketplace at the moment and explain exactly what we’re doing, which I think will qualify some of the concerns of local residents,” Olsen said.
The website features a photo gallery of artist impressions of the redevelopment, the latest and news and updates and a feedback section for the community to directly communicate with the Club.
