Jackson Hately, Kieran Strachan and Billy Frampton were all influential in Adelaide’s 10-point SANFL win over Sturt at Unley Oval on Sunday.
The Crows trailed by two points at quarter-time but slammed home nine unanswered goals to lead by 45 points midway through the third quarter.
Sturt fought back, kicking four consecutive goals in the final term, but the Crows were able to hold on.
Hately, meanwhile, backed up his strong form from the week prior, recording 31 disposals, eight tackles, seven clearances and a goal against the Double Blues.
Frampton kicked three goals to go with his 16 touches, 11 hit-outs and four clearances.
Strachan finished with 18 disposals, 37 hit-outs, nine marks and a major.
Crows SANFL coach Michael Godden said he was pleased with the win.
“We have been playing some really good footy without reward, because we have lacked polish to finish off our good passages of play," Godden said.
“It was nice for the lads to get that reward today.
“Winning means a lot to the players and the club.”
Adelaide played a high pressure, fast paced, high intensity brand of football and Ben Davis set the tone in the opening minutes with a defensive 50m run-down tackle.
In his second game for the club, mid-season draftee Patrick Parnell led Adelaide’s disposal count at half time with 10 touches and five marks, while Frampton and Luke Pedlar amassed nine disposals each.
Adelaide has a bye next weekend before facing West Adelaide on Saturday, June 26 at Hisense Stadium.
