ARIA award winner Dan Sultan will perform before Adelaide’s Indigenous Round clash with Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
Sultan won best rock album at the ARIAs last year for his top five charting Blackbird and was also nominated for Best Male Artist, Best Independent Release and the public-voted Best Australian Live Act.
Blackbird, featuring the single Under the Skin, was his third album and was followed late last year by an EP called Dirty Ground.
Sultan also appeared in the movie Bran Nue Day, released in 2009. Adelaide's Indigenous Round entertainment is proudly sponsored by The Maxima Group.
All games during Round Nine will honour the enormous contribution Indigenous people have made to Australian Football. In 2015 there are 72 Indigenous players listed at AFL clubs.
Adelaide will once again wear a special guernsey to commemorate Indigenous Round. This year's design was a combined effort of Crows champion Andrew McLeod with renowned Torres Strait Island artist Laurie Nona. Click here to purchase your own Crows Indigenous guernsey.
All Indigenous Round matches, including Adelaide's clash with the Dockers, will feature a pre-match Welcome to Country ceremony where the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land welcome members of the wider community.
Special artwork will feature on every Sherrin used throughout Indigenous Round, and each venue's centre circle will feature an R for the Recognise campaign in support of the constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia’s founding document.
All 18 clubs will wear Indigenous Round themed guernseys and for the first time AFL umpires will wear an Indigenous themed shirt, designed by Indigenous artists.
Gates to the ground open at 5pm. The pre-game Welcome to Country ceremony begins at 6.40pm and will be followed by Dan Sultan's on-ground performance.
Adelaide's clash with League leaders Fremantle kicks off at 7.10pm. Fans can gain access to the match by becoming a three-game Bronze Member of the Club.
