Playing at centre half-back against Norwood’s former Crow Chad Gibson and current Power forward Adam Cockshell, 18-year-old Turner showed good composure and made effective use of his 16 possessions in South’s 32-point win.
Only three primary list Crows played in the SANFL league matches on the weekend.
Ruckman/forward Kurt Tippett had another pleasing performance for West Adelaide. He was competitive in the ruck and gave off some good handballs in traffic.
Team-mate Luke Jericho had a tough day, collecting six possessions.
John Hinge (16 possessions) made a bright start for Glenelg and kicked two goals in the first term.
Bryce Campbell played his first game for 2007, lining up for Norwood’s reserves after recovering from a serious ankle strain. He collected 17 possessions in a half of football.
2005 draftee Darren Pfeiffer should also be ready to resume with Norwood this weekend after recovering from a fractured cheekbone.
