Adelaide captain Taylor Walker can accept a fine for misconduct against Western Bulldogs defender Jason Johannisen.

Walker, 27, made contact with Johannisen in an attempt to shepherd through a Matt Crouch goal in the third quarter at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

As a result of Walker’s bump, Johannisen collided with the goal post. The Norm Smith Medallist was assessed by medical staff following the collision, but returned to play out the game.

A first offence for misconduct is classified as a $1,500 sanction. Walker has no applicable record which impacts the penalty, and can accept a $1,000 sanction with an early guilty plea.

Western Bulldogs defender Easton Wood was also cited by the MRP following Friday night's match.

Wood was booked for striking Crows forward Mitch McGovern during the opening term. As it is his third classifiable offence this season, Wood can accept a one-match ban with an early guilty plea.

The incident was assessed as intentional and of low impact to the body.
