Douglas has gathered 223 possessions, taken 62 marks and booted 13 goals in 2013, which equates to 183.3 player ratings points.
His impressive tally puts him behind only Gold Coast skipper Gary Ablett, who has led the way with 200.3 points this year.
Ablett, who started the year at No. 1 and is almost certain to end the season there, has amassed 320 possessions, taken 40 marks and booted 13 goals in his 10 matches.
Douglas began the Crows' 2013 campaign rated 117th in the overall standings, but his run of good performances have seen him rocket 69 places to No. 48.
Sydney Swans midfielder Josh Kennedy (177.6) and Douglas' Adelaide teammate Patrick Dangerfield (177) are among the other leading scorers in 2013.
Kennedy is currently rated No. 2 overall after starting the season at No. 7.
Dangerfield has leapt from No. 15 to No. 3 since the season began.
Another of the top 10 leading scorers to have surged up the player ratings table is Carlton little man Jeff Garlett.
The 23-year-old began the season in 114th place overall, but he now sits at No. 68.
Garlett has had a very impressive season, and it's not only his 27 goals to have propelled him up the charts.
He has also tallied 153 possessions at an average of more than 15 per game, and many of those touches have led to his teammates hitting the scoreboard.
