Adelaide will this weekend deliver its fans a unique free-to-air television offering to mark the Club’s third AFLW Grand Final appearance.
In conjunction with its official media partner Seven Network Adelaide, the Club will produce a one-hour live broadcast from Adelaide Oval on Saturday following the completion of the network’s match coverage.
Hosted by 7NEWS sports presenter and former Crows player Bruce Abernethy and dual premiership captain Mark Bickley, the program will feature a comprehensive wrap and behind-the-scenes access of the Grand Final between Adelaide and Brisbane.
The Optus Crows Show special, which will air from 4pm to 5pm, will also provide a detailed preview of the men’s home game against Fremantle on Sunday.
It will feature one-on-one interviews with Crows forward Taylor Walker and last week’s AFL Rising Star Lachlan Sholl, as well as segments with Sam Jacobs, Matthew Nicks and Brodie Smith.
Adelaide CEO Tim Silvers said the live broadcast was another way for the Club to continue to provide Members and supporters with as much content and insight into its inner workings as possible.
“We pride ourselves on producing engaging and entertaining content for our Members and fans and delivering it across a range of platforms,” Silvers said.
“We appreciate the support and assistance of Channel 7 Adelaide and it is a great opportunity to showcase women’s sport at the highest level, while further expanding our own long standing free-to-air television product The Optus Crows Show.”
Seven Network’s Adelaide News Director Chris Salter said the program was part of the network’s Super Saturday of sport and news.
“Win, lose or draw the Crows’ AFLW team is truly the pride of South Australia,” Salter said.
“We are excited to be involved in bringing the Grand Final and the aftermath into loungerooms across the State.”
