Crows forward James Podsiadly is free to play this weekend after the SANFL Tribunal cleared him of a striking charge.
Podsiadly was initially cited for an incident involving South Adelaide’s Sam Overall during the final term at Hickinbotham Oval.
The SANFL Incident Review Panel alleged the contact was high, careless and of medium impact. Overall left the field following the collision with Podsiadly. Podsiadly received an initial sanction of two matches and could've reduced the charge to one game with an early guilty plea.
But the key forward, who leads Adelaide’s SANFL goalkicking tally with 24 majors for the season, successfully overuled the decision on Tuesday at the SANFL Tribunal.
"I'm disappointed it got this far, as I've always felt I've played the game in a fair and honest way," Podsiadly said after the charge was thrown out.
"I'm happy with the result and can now concentrate on this week's game."
The SANFL Crows confront ladder leaders Woodville-West Torrens this Sunday afternoon. Adelaide then travels to Peter Motley Oval in the penultimate round to take on Sturt.
After 15mins of deliberation the SANFL Tribunal have found @Adelaide_FC James Podsiadly Not Guilty.
