Chloe Scheer will make her long-awaited return to the AFLW field on Sunday, February 14, during Adelaide’s first home match of the season.
Scheer suffered an ACL injury in the Crows 2019 Grand Final win and, after numerous setbacks, hasn’t played an AFLW game since.
The forward will be joined by midfielder Rachelle Martin who will play her first game as an official listed Crows player.
Martin debuted as an injury replacement in Round One 2020 and it's the first AFLW game Martin will play alongside her sister Hannah Button.
Ruck Caitlin Gould will also play her first game of the season.
PREVIEW: Adelaide and Fremantle by the numbers
Out of the side from last week’s game is skipper Chelsea Randall, forward Ailish Considine (both concussion) and Madison Newman (omitted).
Randall suffered a head knock late in last weekend’s win against GWS and demonstrated delayed concussion, which automatically rules her out for 12 days.
The same applies to Considine, who was knocked out in the second quarter of the match.
Defender and leadership group member Sarah Allan will captain the team in Randall’s absence.
Adelaide’s match against Fremantle is at Norwood Oval at 12:40pm and the Crows will wear their Pride Guernsey in front of their home crowd.
