Midfielder Anne Hatchard topped the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year votes after a convincing Round Two win over the GWS GIANTS.
In the 47-point win, Hatchard had 23 touches, six tackles and kicked a goal which earned her nine votes from Crows coach Matthew Clarke and GWS coach Alan McConnell.
Fellow midfielder Ebony Marinoff followed with six votes after her 24 disposals, which put her equal fourth on the overall leaderboard with 13 votes in the first two rounds.
Defender Sarah Allan (three), midfielder Erin Phillips, forward Danielle Ponter (both two) and forward Stevie-Lee Thompson (one) also finished in the votes.
Hatchard and Ponter, who kicked three goals, were also named in the womens.afl’s Team of the Week in the midfield and forward line respectively.
Adelaide will play its first home game of the season on Sunday, February 14 when the team takes on Fremantle at Norwood Oval at 12:40pm ACDT.
