Adelaide’s AFLW team travelled to Sydney on a charter flight on Thursday and will now play their Round Two match against the GWS Giants on Sunday afternoon.
The Crows will complete their isolation period in Sydney where the NSW Government has permitted the club to play on Sunday, February 7.
The game at Blacktown International Sports Park at 4:40pm ACDT will be closed to the general public.
Crows Head of Women’s Football Phil Harper said the Club is glad that its Round Two game is now locked in.
“We are pleased to be in Sydney now as this move gives us the best chance to train and play a game this weekend,” Harper said.
“We liaised with both the SA Government and the NSW Government and both agreed that this was the best option to take in order to play a game on the weekend.
“We thank both governments for their direction on this manner.
“We appreciate the work the AFL put in at making this happen, they said they would do everything they could to make sure the season goes ahead and they definitely have in this instance.”
The game will be broadcast live so fans will still be able to watch the game, more details will be provided at a later date.
