ADELAIDE coach Neil Craig insists his players will bounce back from a recent spate of injuries, saying the Crows had been through tough times before.

Craig said the injuries had been confined to the club's big men, leaving the midfield and backlines in good shape.

Potential ruck option Ken McGregor on Wednesday joined the injured list and has been ruled out for four weeks with an inflamed achilles tendon.

Craig said while the number of pre-season injuries was a concern, the current spate did not compare to the team's woes before the finals series last year.

"We have been through it (before) and we will go through it again," he said.

The Crows squad has been cut to 25 for its last pre-season NAB Challenge match against Fremantle on Friday night at AAMI Stadium.

A big plus, however, is the return of forward Ian Perrie after three weeks off because of a hamstring strain.

Craig said the Crows would learn from their fourth-quarter collapse against West Coast in Alice Springs last week and focus on building up the experience of their junior players.

The Crows led the Eagles by 27 points at three-quarter time before the reigning premiers powered home to win by seven points.

"We understand that was a poor quarter of football for us in some areas," he said.

"We still went forward a significant number of times into our forward 50 but didn't score a goal and to be overrun was disappointing.

"You still take into account inexperience ... but there were some other things that we didn't like, irrespective of inexperience.

"That is where we have to be quite critical in our thinking."
