Hawks ruckman Ben McEvoy could return from a hamstring injury in Thursday night’s crunch game against the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
McEvoy played his first game since Round Six in the VFL a fortnight ago and was named among Box Hill’s best, collecting 13 disposals, 22 hit-outs and a goal.
The 200cm Hawk is among a group of players pushing for senior selection following the club’s Round 11 bye.
Hard-running midfielder Will Langford also moved well in his return from a calf injury in the same match.
Former Giant Jonathan O'Rourke starred in a 24-disposal, three-goal best-on-ground display, while Alex Woodward (23 disposals) and Jonathan Simpkin (22) again found plenty of the ball.
Premiership backman Matt Spangher (hamstring) is also increasing his training loads but is likely to need at least another week before pushing for a senior recall.
Hawthorn’s selection panel has a near full-strength squad to pick from with Grant Birchall (ankle) and Paul Puopolo (foot) tipped to force their way back into the side that thumped St Kilda in Round 10.
