1. Nickname
When celebrating goals, James gets called Jimmy or Rowie.
2. Born and raised
Jimmy grew up in the suburb of Henley Beach and has lived in Adelaide his entire life.
3. Well educated
Rowe attended Star of the Sea in Henley Beach before moving to Sacred Heart College for his senior education.
4. Shark at heart
Henley FC has been a good breeding ground for AFL players, and James is apart of that. He also played one game for the Ardrossan Kangaroos while on holiday in Yorke Peninsula.
5. Big 2020
2020 has been a challenge for many, but Rowe thrived this year, enjoying his two biggest football moments in winning the SANFL Grand Final and getting drafted to the Crows.
6. Proud South Australian
Following on from his Dad Stephen, who was an inaugural Crow, Rowe has always been a passionate Crows supporter.
7. Coachable
Rowe has thrived under his three league coaches, Michael Godden, Sam Lonergan and Jade Sheedy, while always crediting his Dad for being a big influence
8. NBA
Along with a lot of his team mates, James is a big NBA fan. He supports the Golden State Warriors.
9. Goal machine
Rowe has booted 82 goals in just 34 SANFL games and finished joint winner of the Ken Farmer medal in the state league this year.
10. More than majors
James will bring much more to the position than just goals. He led the SANFL for ground ball gets and finished third for goal assists.
