Defender Brodie Smith is available to play in Balfours Showdown XXXIV at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.
Smith has overcome a fractured collarbone he sustained in Adelaide’s opening-round NAB Cup clash with Port Adelaide. The 21-year-old defender returned to full training last week and will be hoping to earn a recall to the Crows side this weekend.
Midfielder Aidan Riley experienced soreness early in Sturt’s win over the Port Magpies. Riley sat out the second half of the match, but should be fit to play this weekend.
Defender Sam Shaw didn’t play for SANFL club Glenelg because of a hamstring injury, which is currently being assessed by Adelaide’s medical staff. Rookie Jack Osborn’s transition to Australian Rules has been put on hold. The 205cm former basketballer requires hip surgery and will spend 12 weeks on the sidelines.
Adelaide will have a light open football session from approximately 10:30am on Saturday (April 13) on Max Basheer Reserve.
In less than 12months’ time the Crows will play home games at Adelaide Oval. Visit 19thman.com.au/adelaideovalto find out how to secure your seat at the world-class venue.
