The Adelaide Football Club would like to wish Nathan van Berlo the very best on a new footballing adventure.
After 13 years of playing and coaching at Adelaide, van Berlo will depart the Club having accepted a role at West Coast.
The former captain retired in 2016 before taking on a development coach position in 2017.
A well respected player-turned-coach, van Berlo worked closely with Adelaide’s State League side as well as playing a key role in the Club’s leadership program.
Originally drafted in 2004, van Berlo played 205 games in the tri-colours – ranked 13th at the Adelaide Football Club.
Crows Head of Football Brett Burton thanked van Berlo for his contribution to the Club and wished him the best in his new role.
“Nathan has been an outstanding leader at our football club for more than a decade,” Burton said.
“During his time at West Lakes he has been an exceptional role model both on and off the field and someone who always made those around him better.
“While we are disappointed to lose someone of his quality, this is a fantastic opportunity for him to continue to learn and develop in a different environment.
“We wish Nathan, his wife Jess and their baby girl Zara all the best for the next phase of their life.”
