LAST WEEK’S NEWS
I can’t take all the credit, but I do believe my cheering contributed to the upset win on Friday night against the favoured Tigers.
Patrick Dangerfield (MID, $589,000) has had an amazing year averaging 109 for the season, his best season ever in AFL Fantasy. His radar was slightly off kicking 2.5 goals, but Taylor Walker (FWD, $385,000) was still spectacular with 116pts. He had 21 touches and 10 marks to produce his best score since Round One.
But let’s talk about the ‘Rory Gang’. Rory Sloane (MID, $446,000) was great with 94 as was Rory Laird (DEF, $470,000) with 92. But overall, I was really impressed with young gun Rory Atkins (MID, $138,000) and his 75pts.
ON THE RADAR
After 24 disposals and six marks Rory Atkins has probably now worked his way into the Crows’ best 22. However, he failed to lay a tackle. This is an important ‘Fantasy statistic’ he’ll improve on over the coming weeks. He did look great and is still very cheap.
Atkins only has a break even of -7 and would be handy on your bench in your team. Over the course of the next few weeks, expect teams to start resting players as they set themselves up for finals. Late withdrawals will be the flavour of the month, making young Rory even more valuable than ever before.

WHAT’S COMING UP
This week, the Crows will tackle the Bombers at Etihad Stadium.
Last time they met was in Round 14 last year and on that day Scott Thompson (MID, $526,000) once again got busy with a huge 149pts from 41 touches.
Sam Jacobs (RUC, $482,000) racked up 112pts as the Crows went down 9 points. Goddard was everywhere that day holding 12 marks and collecting 32 touches (147pts) and will need to be contained to ensure another victory.
All the best Crow fans. We fly as one!
