Adelaide 200-gamer Taylor Walker has thrown his support behind Queensland to host the 2020 AFL Grand Final.

For the first time in 122 years, the Grand Final is expected to be played away from the MCG due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia are all vying for rights with the AFL yet to make a decision.

“You’d like to think Queensland with what they’ve been able to do, being so accommodating, they’d get the priority,” Walker told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.

“Then if not (in Queensland), it has to come over here (to South Australia).”

Following game 200 on Sunday, Walker said he was proud of his side’s efforts despite the loss.

“It was a good performance,” Walker said.

“Obviously we didn’t get the win, but I thought for three and a half quarters the boys were outstanding.

“You don’t want to go the year without a win, that’s what we’re striving to do over the next four weeks.

“Hopefully we can get a scalp and finish the year off with a win.”
