Stats that matter
Geelong (14.2 average) and Adelaide (13.6) are ranked No.1 and No.2 in the competition for marks inside50m this year.
Cats star Steve Johnson has had more score assists (18) than any player in the AFL in 2012.
Tom Hawkins has been the target in 115 of Geelong’s inside 50m entries - almost double that of the team’s next most-used option, James Podsiadly (66).
Only two Cats, Andrew Mackie and Trent West, have played every game in 2012. This is the equal-fewest (with GWS) of any team of the competition. At Adelaide, eight players are yet to miss a match.

Cats to load up against Crows - AFL.com.au
"DESPITE losing champion defender Matthew Scarlett to suspension, Geelong is set to field a strengthened team against Adelaide at Simonds Stadium on Saturday, with premiership midfielders Jimmy Bartel and Allen Christensen among the likely inclusions. The Cats are also expecting mercurial forward Steve Johnson to be fit to take on the Crows ..."
In the Mix - Geelong - AFL.com.au
"THE Cats get a massive boost this week, with star midfielder Jimmy Bartel returning from suspension for their clash with Adelaide at Simonds Stadium on Saturday. But key forward James Podsiadly (ankle) and dashing defender David Wojcinski (hamstring) both remain in doubt. Podsiadly and Wojcinski missed last weekend's win over Essendon. Steve Johnson, who was subbed out of the victory over the Bombers at three-quarter time due to groin soreness, is expected to take on the Crows. Geelong's VFL team had a bye last weekend, which robbed its fringe players of the chance to impress. When the VFL boys last played two weeks ago, Mitch Brown, George Horlin-Smith, Jon Simpkin and Dawson Simpson were the standout performers."
Scarlett accepts ban
GEELONG defender Matthew Scarlett has accepted a one-week ban for striking Essendon forward Cory Dell’Olio.
Johnson in doubt for Crows clash - Geelong Advertiser
"GEELONG forward Steve Johnson remains in doubt for Saturday's clash against Adelaide with a groin injury. Johnson had scans on Saturday but the club was yesterday hopeful he would be fit to line up against the Crows at Simonds Stadium. Geelong football manager Neil Balme said: "We've always been hopeful he'll be OK but we really won't be able to say any more. He's a little bit sore. "We'd certainly be keen to play him but, again, we really won't know (until later in the week)."
