Adelaide Crows injured ruckman Ben Hudson and assistant coach David Noble arrive in Sydney on Thursday for a busy four days involving young AFL talent in Sydney’s south.

On the eve of the AFL match of the round between Adelaide and the Sydney Swans at the SCG on Sunday, the pair, along with Crows Football Operations Manager John Reid, will spend Thursday and Friday at Olds Park where 100 children aged 10-16 years have enrolled in an AFL school holiday clinic.

Hudson who injured his knee late last season and is expected to make his return later this month, and Noble, who was coach of the NSW/ACT RAMS in 1996 and 1997, will be at Olds Park between 1-2.30pm on both days.

The Adelaide Crows' support of the clinic is part of the relationship formed between last year's AFL minor premiers and local Sydney AFL club St George Crows in 2000.

The partnership is based on the Adelaide Crows playing their part in a developing AFL market, whilst having a presence in the biggest capital city in the nation.

One of the highlights will be Sunday when 25 budding AFL prospects from the Endeavour Sports High School will be special guests of the Adelaide Crows at the SCG. The group of 14-16 year old boys will have access to the Crows change rooms pre and post match to get up and close and personal with the players, coaching staff and routine of an AFL club on match day.

On Thursday evening Hudson and Noble will help out with St George training at Olds Pk from 6.30-8.30pm involving the U18, Reserves and Senior sides.

Hudson, Noble and Reid will host a coach’s forum with the St George coaching staff on Friday evening and both will be present at Olds Park on Saturday to watch the teams go through their paces against the UNSW/Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs in Round 12 of the Sydney AFL.
