South Australian cricket fans got a firsthand look at the progress of the Adelaide Oval redevelopment at the Redbacks one-day game last weekend.

The exciting project is beginning to take shape, with all excavation works now having been completed.

Here's an overview of the work that is currently taking place:

•    Southern Stand and Plaza Piling has been completed

•    The first pour of Southern stand level one suspended slab (September)

•    East Stand Soil excavation completed

•    East Stand piling 95% completed

•    Sub structure and foundations have commenced with first retaining wall panels to installed from 3rd September 2012

•    Lighting Towers have been re-erected  and are in operation





Timeline on works at Adelaide Oval:

March - September 2012: Northern mound and ancillary works

March 2012 - October 2013: Southern Stand and Southern Plaza

March 2012 - March 2014: East Stand

March 2012 - March 2014: Indoor Centre

March 2013 - October 2013: Main Oval Works

March 2014: Project Completion
