Adelaide has named Mark Ricciuto in its extended squad for Monday night's clash against Collingwood at Telstra Dome.

However, the club captain has been under an injury cloud after having a wretched pre-season dogged by groin surgery and a hamstring complaint.

Up-and-coming ruckman Ivan Maric is in with a shot of making his debut in his second year with the club after he was named on the seven-man bench, as was on-baller Bernie Vince who was the No.32 selection in last year's NAB AFL Draft.

Joining those two on the bench are Kris Massie, Michael Doughty, Robert Shirley, Ben Hart and Martin Mattner.

One of the talking points of Adelaide's pre-season has been the excellent form of second-year midfielder Chris Knights and the Eastern Ranges product has been rewarded with a spot on a half-forward flank.

Collingwood has named a strong squad for the Monday-night fixture.

Returning to bolster the side after extended periods sidelined with injury last year are Josh Fraser and Anthony Rocca with Nathan Buckley and Alan Didak also in the starting 18 and hoping to put injury-interrupted seasons behind them.

Dale Thomas, the No.2 pick in the 2005 NAB AFL National Draft, is in with a chance to make his debut having been named on an extended interchange bench and is joined there by Ben Davies, Chad Morrison, Guy Richards, Chris Egan and Cameron and Travis Cloke.

The third Cloke brother, Jason, has been named to start at centre half-back.
