Adelaide has recalled key forward Trent Hentschel at the expense of Luke Jericho for Saturday night's clash against Richmond at Telstra Dome.

Hentschel played in the opening eight rounds of the season, before he was dropped. It will be his ninth match of the year.

Jericho has played the previous five matches this year, after making 15 appearances in his debut season in 2004.

The Crows have named Kris Massie, Nathan Van Berlo and Matthew Bode as their emergencies.

Richmond has made just one change, with the versatile Rory Hilton, who missed last round's clash with a finger injury, coming back in for emerging midfielder Danny Meyer.

Richmond football manager Paul Armstrong said the return of Meyer to the VFL was simply to give the youngster further game time.

"It's been a long time since Danny has played a full game. The last time he missed a senior game, there was a bye at Coburg, so it'd be around two months since he's had a full game. He's a player of the future, but he just needs to play a bit more footy," Armstrong said.
