MIDFIELDER Bernie Vince says Saturday's clash with top-four fancies West Coast will be a "massive test" for the Crows.

Given the intense congestion at the top of the ladder, Saturday's match against the Eagles could have a significant impact on finals match-ups.

The Crows all but locked in a finals berth with a 119-point thumping of GWS last week, but the fight for a top-four spot is still well and truly alive.

"There's some pretty big games this weekend and results from the weekend is going to have a fair play on the final standing of the eight," Vince said.

"It can shape the eight by winning this week, but in saying that every week could shape the eight.

"You drop any game and it puts you down the list, it's so close up the top."

With West Coast also bound for the finals, Vince said it could give the Crows a psychological edge to beat them now.

"West Coast are going to be in the finals and in the race for the premiership … they've obviously been going really well this year as well, so it's a massive test for our group," he said.

"We're probably going to come across them in the finals at some stage if we get in there, so it's going to be a good game for us.

Vince will play his 100th AFL game this weekend after making his debut for the Crows in 2006.

The 26-year-old has played some outstanding football in his 99-game career, especially in his club champion season of 2009.

He averaged close to 28 disposals a game in that year but has struggled to reach the same lofty standard.

While a broken hand held him back earlier this season, he was back to his best against the Giants, claiming 29 touches and kicking three goals.

While he'd hope to continue that form against the Eagles, Vince said ruckman Sam Jacobs would play an important role in the big clash.

Jacobs will come up against what Vince termed "the best ruck combination in the AFL" and said Adelaide's coaches would look at how the Sydney Swans managed to shut the pair down at the weekend.

"It's a massive test again this weekend for 'Sauce' - he's been doing his job week in, week out and he's been great for us," Vince said.

"With two of the best ruckmen, certainly the best combination in the AFL … the coaches will look at how [the Swans] got on top in that area and see if we can do the same.

"They're very important for how they play."
