A quick note to thank all Crows fans for your support this season.
We could easily produce a number of positives as we look back over the 2011 campaign, but in truth it’s simply been our worst season in 21 years. A ladder ranking of 14th with just seven wins is terribly disappointing for everyone, as is the fact that we have missed the finals for two years in a row.
In short, we now have an enormous amount of work to do in getting back into the finals. And given the nature of the season just passed, there will also be a need for change and improvement in several areas of our program or operation - more of which will be detailed in the weeks ahead.
One of the visible changes of course is the appointment of a Senior Coach - which will (at the earliest) be made some time later this month. With us not playing finals, no doubt the debate and speculation about the identity of that new coach will intensify - and everyone will have an opinion.
The speculation aside, it’s obviously a critical decision for the Club and so we’ll take all the time needed to get it right.
In the meantime, a sincere thank you to everyone for supporting and attending throughout the year.
