The AFL yesterday released official 2011 club membership totals, with the Crows posting 44,719 members.

This ranks Adelaide third, behind only Collingwood and Hawthorn in terms of AFL membership.

Captain Nathan van Berlo was quick to thank Crows members for their support.

“We have the most passionate and loyal members of any AFL club - and for that I thank every one of them,” van Berlo said.

“It’s this support that’s so valuable to the team and me, particularly during some of the challenging moments this season.

“To our loyal members, stick with us over the next few years, I’m sure there’s some exciting times ahead for our young playing group.”

Crows General Manager Supporter Services David Couch pointed out the strong make-up of the Club’s membership base.

“When 11 game access memberships are concerned, we’re right up the top [in the AFL].

“So to every member, whether long term or new this year, your Club thanks you for your support.”

It is an exciting time for Club members as the Crows look towards Adelaide Oval in 2014.

“We will be engaging with members in every way possible over the next few years to ensure the move is successful for everyone involved - and we’re sure it will be,” Mr Couch said.

“Remember, the only way to secure a seat at Adelaide Oval in 2014 is if you are a member in the years leading up - so reserve your seat while memberships are available.”

Potential members can place a deposit on a 2012 Silver Membership and get free tickets to two remaining home matches this season.
