Kite gains league berth
Aaron Kite has been named for Norwood’s league side for the first time this season.
Kite has been rewarded for his solid form in the reserves and has been named on a wing. He will line up on rookie Brodie Martin, who returns from state duties against WA.
On Saturday there are may be up to five Crows in action across the three league games.
Jared Petrenko has been named in the Eagles side to face Central District at Woodville Oval but is still listed as an Adelaide emergency and will find out later today if he is selected.
South Adelaide host North Adelaide at Hickinbotham Oval with Shaun McKernan named in a forward pocket for the Panthers and Myke Cook on a wing. Nick Gill will start on the half-forward flank against ex-Crow Jason Torney and Tony Armstrong has been named on the interchange.
Will Young has dropped out of Norwood’s side after injuring his ankle and Chris Schmidt is an omission from West Adelaide’s team and will have shoulder surgery on Sunday.
Reserves
Jarrhan Jacky will start on a wing for the Eagles reserves after being omitted from the league side and rookie Ricky Henderson will line up for Central District.
Rory Sloane and Greg Gallman have both been named in North Adelaide’s reserves with Sloane starting in the centre and Gallman in a back pocket.
