Midfielder Richard Douglas is ready to add his name to the selection whiteboard after missing the past five games with a hamstring injury.

And Bernie Vince, who broke his left hand against the Giants in round four, is also set to rejoin the main group at training this week.

Adelaide also expects Rick Henderson (corked leg) to be available for Sunday’s clash with Carlton at Etihad Stadium. He was subbed at half-time on Saturday but has recovered well.

Sam Shaw, who made his AFL debut against the Giants but then missed two matches with a sore hamstring, returned in the SANFL with Glenelg on Saturday night.

Shaun McKernan is available having served a one-match ban for striking, while Chris Knights is also free to play after completing a SANFL suspension.

Adelaide has a light open training session on Wednesday from about 9.30am.
Thursday’s main session is closed but the team will have a light run on Saturday from about 9am before heading to Melbourne later that day.
