ADELAIDE speedster Patrick Dangerfield has won the traditional Grand Final sprint at the MCG on Saturday.

Dangerfield burst out of the blocks and won easing up in 10.84 seconds.

It was the Crows midfielder's second win in the event in as many years.

Sydney Swan Harry Cunningham was second, with Hawthorn's Angus Litherland third.

Before the race, Gold Coast backman Campbell Brown stole the show, imitating Usain Bolt's signature pose as he was introduced to fans.

But Brown was no match for his rivals once the starter's gun went off, running dead last.

The race was run in perfect, sunny conditions, but a wet weather front was expected to hit the MCG before the bounce of the ball at 2.30pm.
