Crows get behind regional footy
The Adelaide Crows and New Holland Agriculture have joined forces with members of the grain growing community.
With around 10,000 Crows members, or 22%, based in regional SA, Grow Crows will further connect the Adelaide Crows with our regional supporters as well as invest significantly in the development of the next crop of potential Crows stars.
Players Taylor Walker and Scott Stevens are pictured here with New Hollands Peter Brooks and the SANFL's David Shipway. Both Walker and Stevens grew up playing football in the country with Walker a product from Broken Hill and Stevens from the WA wheat belt community of Kellerberrrin, 210kms north east of Perth.
The Grow Crows program will consist of coaching clinics to be held in regional SA with the first to be held in Nuriootpa on August 17, Kadina on August 18 and Jamestown on August 19.
There will also be a schools competition whereby regionally based schools can enter to win one of 25 Grow Crows school sports kits valued at $400 each which include footballs, bibs, pump, caps, air-horn, markers and more.
And finally all twenty six junior regional Leagues/Associations will receive a Crows jumper signed by coach Neil Craig and captain Simon Goodwin as well as 15 footballs valued in total at more than $300 to be used for fundraising purposes.
