BOASTING two of the competition's in-form forwards, Adelaide defender Andy Otten says quick ball movement will be key when his side hosts the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night.

Taylor Walker and Kurt Tippett have begun season 2012 in imposing form and booted nine goals between them against Gold Coast, including three from Tippett in the first quarter.

Otten said isolating them in the forward line would give the Crows the ascendancy.

"We're going to try and move the ball as quick as we can to give our forwards the best opportunity to get one-on-one match-ups," he said.

"We're going to back in our forwards one-on-one against anyone I think, so it's going to be just as important this weekend."

Otten said his side watched the Western Bulldogs' match against West Coast on the plane when returning from the Gold Coast.

Although the Bulldogs faded at Etihad Stadium, Otten believed his side would be in for a fiercer encounter on Saturday night than they found in Queensland.

"The pressure on the ball is going to step up a bit, I think we can expect that from the Bulldogs," he said.

"They were very good for three quarters last week against West Coast.

"We're expecting a very, tight, tough contest and expecting the Bulldogs to come over and bring their 'A' game."

Crows coach Brenton Sanderson accused his players of "getting a little bit ahead of their abilities" against the Suns, but Otten said it wouldn't be the case against the Bulldogs.

"There's going to be a bit more pressure so I don't think we can afford to be cute this weekend and we know that," he said.

Otten, second to Lion Daniel Rich in the 2009 NAB Rising Star award, said he is back to 100 per cent fitness after having his left knee reconstructed in 2010.

A strain to the same knee in January sent a scare through the Crows' camp.

"I've had two full pre-seasons now and don't even think about it anymore," he said.

"I think I lost my way a little bit with preparation and finding my form and what makes me play well, but kind of switched out of that half through last season and finished off the year well."
