It was a mix of familiar names and fresh faces racking up high Dream Team numbers during Adelaide's first hit-outs of 2012.

Rory Sloane ($429,500) set tongues wagging with an outstanding 51 point, 12 disposal game against Port Adelaide; signalling that he’s ready to take the step from consistent performer to top-end midfielder.

Former Saint Tom Lynch ($243,400) had a memorable first outing in Crows colours.

The mobile tall forward notched up 34 points, amassing six disposals and a goal in Adelaide’s win against Carlton.

Mature age rookie, Tim McIntyre ($85,800) proved he could be one of the competitions real DT bargains this season, gathering seven touches and a goal to score 31 points in just his first game.

Brodie Smith ($261,800) is another young-gun, who looks set to raise the bar in 2012.

He started with a bang against Carlton, posting 33 points running through the midfield.

Experienced campaigners Nathan van Berlo (60 pts), Scott Thompson (55 pts) and Bernie Vince (46 pts) posted solid DT scores in the Crows opening two NAB Cup games- the three key members of the Crows engine room look destined for big seasons.

One to watch: Brent Reilly ($385,600) looks set for a permanent defensive role and might post big numbers playing as Adelaide’s ‘out-man’…could be worth a serious look.

Something different: Key forward Kurt Tippett ($350,400) played notably higher up the ground and had significant stints in the ruck for the Crows. A readjusted role might increase his scoring potential in 2012.
