ADELAIDE veteran Graham Johncock has been cleared of any serious damage to his left hip but will miss at least a week with severe bruising.

Johncock, 28, was one of the Crows' best before taking a heavy knock in the second quarter of Friday's loss to Essendon, kicking two goals and collecting nine possessions.

Substituted at half-time, the Adelaide runner went to hospital Friday night and had scans Saturday, which cleared Johncock of any major damage, but he is still expected to miss at least one match.

Second-year player Matthew Jaensch is also unlikely to be available for the Crows' clash with St Kilda next Friday night after hurting his right shoulder.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs had x-rays after being kicked in the leg in the third quarter of the loss to Essendon but has been cleared of any damage and is expected to be available take on the Saints.
