The Adelaide Crows Children’s Foundation has donated $2,000 to the Victor Harbor Primary School to help replace electronic equipment lost in a huge fire which razed the year 5-7 classrooms last month.
James Podsiadly and Kyle Hartigan made the surprise presentation to the students while they were enjoying an end of year excursion at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre in North Adelaide.
Stunned students were called from the pool to find the Crows pair waiting for them with a giant cheque. It was a first for Podsiadly who said he’d never held such a huge cheque before.
Podsiadly said it was a privilege to represent the Club’s charity and present the cheque to the school.
“We can’t replace the classroom memories or the school work lost in the fire, but this cheque can help create a new environment for you to enjoy in the future,” Podsiadly said.

Student leaders Lidia Fuller and Ethan Williams accepted the cheque on behalf of the school.
The fire at the school on November 8 destroyed the senior school building leaving 250 children without classrooms.
Authorities have not been able to determine the cause of the blaze.
The Adelaide Crows Children’s Foundation (formerly Crows Foundation) is the independent charity arm of the Adelaide Football Club which has raised and donated more than $1m to SA children in need since 2005.
