There were some big Dream Team scores from Crows players last weekend; none better than forward Tom Lynch, who scored 122 points.
Brad Crouch (108) and Ricky Henderson (106) continued their rich Dream Team form and Richard Douglas picked up another 100 points. Jason Porplyzia posted his highest score of the year with a solid 96 points.
Top five points scorers
Tom Lynch 122
Brad Crouch 108
Ricky Henderson 106
Richard Douglas 100
Jason Porplyzia 96
Lynch
Four goals, 11 marks and 22 possessions ensured Lynchy picked up the second-highest score (122) of his career against Collingwood on Friday night. The rapidly-improving forward is now averaging 92.5 points per game since coming into the side in Round Four.
Crouch
The young gun scored 108 points to lead Adelaide’s midfield in the clash with Collingwood. Crouchy would be pleasing the 40,203 coaches who have him in their side, averaging 104.3 in his last three games.
Henderson
Henderson continued his stellar run of DT form, scoring 106 points from 25 possessions to push his three-game average to exactly 100. With a breakeven of just 29, Hendo is an ideal player to bring into your team’s defence or attack ahead of Round 17’s clash against Geelong.
Douglas
It was another big score for Dougy, picking up a valuable 100 points against the Pies. The midfield superstar is in, arguably, career-best form and would be a great unique pick for your side, as only 1.79% of coaches have him selected.
Porplyzia
Porps is well and truly back after a season-high total of 96 points. He kicked a handful of goals playing as a deep forward and also collected 19 possessions.
That hurts
Patrick Dangerfield has been ruled out of this week’s clash with Geelong after spraining his right AC joint in a collision with Sam Dwyer. For the 51,073 coaches who own Danger, it’ll be a tough call on whether to trade the star midfielder, who could miss anywhere between one and four weeks.
Fun fact
Adelaide has three players in the top-10 most improved Dream Team players for 2013- the most of any side in the competition. Brad Crouch, Rory Laird and Sam Kerridge make the top ten thanks to their enormous increase in value since the start of the season.
