Rory Sloane is a slight chance to return from an eye injury against North Melbourne on Sunday.

Sloane was ruled out of Balfours Showdown XXXV after suffering a torn retina in Adelaide’s Round 18 clash with Fremantle at Patersons Stadium.

The influential midfielder won’t be cleared to train until Wednesday. A medical assessment later in the week will determine his availability for Sunday’s game against the Kangaroos.

As stated on Friday, young onballer Nick Joyce will have season-ending surgery on both shoulders, while young defender Luke Thompson will miss up to a month with an ankle injury. Richard Tambling sustained a minor hip injury playing for Sturt on Saturday.
