Crows star Patrick Dangerfield selected a “nice and relaxing” techno song as his contribution to a new AFL soundtrack.
‘Ghosts’, a 2012 single by Sydney electro duo The Presets, is one of 19 tracks selected by AFL players for Leaders List, a fundraising compilation album.
Proceeds from the sales of Leaders List go to Ladder (www.ladder.org.au) an independent non-profit organisation established in 2007 to tackle youth homelessness in Australia.
“When I listen to this song before a game it doesn't get me too hyped up too early,” Dangerfield explains.
AFL Players Association Commercial Operations Manager Georgie Herbert said: “The AFL Players’ Association is proud to be involved in the Leaders List project. Music has always played an essential role in human life and has long been appreciated for its power to connect, communicate and contribute positively to wellbeing.
“The Players’ Association is proud that a number of players have come together to help raise money for the players’ chosen charity, Ladder, to assist in tackling youth homelessness. The Leaders List project will also be a great opportunity to provide fans with a greater insight into some of their favourite players.”
