Ruckman Sam Jacobs is hopeful of overcoming a nasty corked hip to play against Fremantle.
Jacobs was substituted at three-quarter time of Adelaide’s win over Gold Coast on Sunday after sustaining a knock to his hip. The in-form big man will face a fitness test later in the week.
Young midfielder Brad Crouch is also confident of being available this week. Crouch hasn’t played since fracturing his leg in the Round Two Showdown. The 2013 Rising Star runner-up is likely to return in Adelaide’s SANFL clash with Woodville-West Torrens on Saturday.
Damaging pair David Mackay and Charlie Cameron both suffered knocks against Gold Coast, but aren’t in any doubt for Sunday’s clash with the Dockers. Young defender Sam Shaw, who has missed a fortnight with a virus, is also available for selection. Shaun McKernan should be available after sustaining a poke in the eye in Adelaide's SANFL win over South Adelaide.
Key duo Ricky Henderson (leg/ankle) and Tom Lynch (jaw) are also closing in on a comeback. Henderson and Lynch could play within two weeks.
Captain Nathan van Berlo continues to progress in his rehabilitation from a ruptured Achilles. Forward Lewis Johnson is at least two months away after surgery on a tendon in his hand.
The Crows will hold an open training session at AAMI Stadium on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00am. The team will train for up to one hour before flying to Perth for the clash with Fremantle.
