Eddie Betts’ freakish goal off the ground at the Gabba has taken the No.3 spot in the Crows Goals of the Year countdown.
Adelaide was well in control of the Round 20 clash with Brisbane, leading the Lions by 37 points late in the second term.
With barely 30 seconds remaining in the opening half, a great tackle from Brodie Martin spilled the ball free just inside the arc for the Crows.
The opportunistic Betts didn’t need a second invite.
Eddie burst through the pack and connected with an amazing strike off the deck from 35 metres out, despite the close attention of Lions defender Joel Patfull.

The ball tumbled through for Adelaide’s sixth goal of the quarter to give the Crows a 44-point advantage heading into the main break.
It was also Eddie’s second goal of the term, with the crafty forward finishing with three majors for the match.
The Club’s leading goalkicker for the season also slotted a similar goal off the ground during Adelaide’s Round One clash with Geelong at Simonds Stadium and showed off his foot skills in our World Cup Challenge earlier this year.
