Retiring full-back Ben Rutten will be farewelled in a pre-game lap of honour on AFL Grand Final day on Saturday.

Rutten, who played 229 games in 11 seasons with Adelaide, will be one of 17 fellow 200-game players who have hung up the boots in the traditional motorcade around the MCG.

The 31-year-old has already accepted an offer from Richmond for the 2015 season in an assistant coaching role.

2014 Crows Club Champion Daniel Talia singled out ‘Truck’ in his post-award speech earlier this month, saying the 2005 All Australian would make a seamless transition into coaching.

Other retiring players to feature in the lap of honour include:
Heath Scotland
Luke Ball
Simon Black
Campbell Brown
Jonathan Brown
Dom Cassisi
Dean Cox
Daniel Giansiracusa
Lenny Hayes
Josh Hunt
Darren Jolly
Quentin Lynch
Ash McGrath
Nick Maxwell
