Patrick Dangerfield may have found his calling post-football according to renowned commentator Bruce McAvaney.
McAvaney kindly donated his time to join Dangerfield on set for Adelaide’s first-ever entry in the Virgin Australia Film Festival.
The pair improvised a hilarious scene based on the theme ‘Everything’s Possible’, where McAvaney educated the star Crow on the finer points of football calling.
“When I left there, I wasn’t sure who was the commentator and who was the footballer,” McAvaney said on radio station FIVEaa.
“It was amazing how keen that guy is. He was all organised and raring to go.
“It’s a great initiative. It’s fun, and you get to see the blokes in a different light.
“I hope they do well.”

NBA Championship winner Patrick Mills was also a special guest in the video.
Nathan van Berlo, Rory Sloane, Scott Thompson, Eddie Betts, Taylor Walker and even coach Brenton Sanderson took part in the light-hearted clip, which was shot during the Club’s bye week in July.
A long-time admirer of the man simply known as ‘Bruce’, Dangerfield said he was in awe of the 61-year-old.
“He’s the best in the business,” Dangerfield said.
“Bruce literally walked in two minutes before we started. We had a script but we didn’t even really look at it.
“And he absolutely nailed it.”
@Adelaide_FC Bruce was unbelievable. So professional and so funny. Without doubt my fav commentator. #crowschat
